Jonathan Bastian is an award-winning public radio and television host. Currently, he is a host and reporter for KCRW: The Los Angeles public radio station. Before KCRW he hosted Morning Edition on WFPL, Louisville’s NPR News Station. He was also the creator and host of “Up Front with Jonathan Bastian,” a weekly TV program on KET, Kentucky’s PBS affiliate, which reached roughly 2.8 million households.

Jonathan’s earlier work includes hosting “Page by Page,” a weekly interview program that was syndicated on public radio stations across Colorado. He has interviewed many influential writers, artists and policy makers, including Richard Russo, Congressman John Lewis, Ralph Nader, Sebastian Junger, Jim Lehrer, Jonathan Safran Foer, and many others. In 2011, he spoke with both winners of the Pulitzer Prize in fiction and non-fiction. His work has aired nationally on NPR’s ‘All Things Considered’ and been published on NPR.org.
